Quest to Purpose (Nepal)
Fifteen days in the Himalayas. Off the beaten track, with time for yourself.
October 2027 · 6 to 12 people · EUR 8,640 per place
Fifteen days without appointments. A route through the Himalayas that no other group walks like this. And enough distance from the hamster wheel to honestly answer a question that always has to wait at home: what should stay, and what should not? You do not need trekking experience. You do need curiosity, and the willingness to listen to yourself.
- Time for the question of what your next chapter in life should look like
- Two weeks in which your everyday life is very far away
- Conversations on the way that go differently than in a coaching room
- Calm, to sort out what matters to you and what you only do out of habit
- A small group of no more than twelve people looking for something similar
- A day at our projects in Sotang, the school and the houses with electricity. More on that below.
Fifteen days in the Himalayas, with Dawa as mountain guide.
A group circle every day, time for silence and for writing.
I accompany you, from the first meeting until after your return.
On the Helambu trek: villages, altitude, a monastery.
One hour of one-to-one coaching before and one after the trek.
Dates: October 2027.
Price: EUR 8,640 per place, including VAT.
If you want to continue afterwards, my one-to-one coaching can be booked separately.
Pre-Trek Sessions: One hour 1:1 with me, in which you clarify the question you set out with. And a first chance to meet the others in your group.
During the Trek: Short conversations on the way, whenever you need one. And every day a group circle in which everyone shares what the day did to them.
Post-Trek Sessions: One hour 1:1 to sort out what you brought back and what of it belongs in your everyday life. If you want to go further after that, you continue with my programme "Zurück zu dir".
Two projects. And the walk there on foot, with the materials on your back.
Every Quest to Purpose includes a community project. This is not a photo opportunity bolted onto a trekking trip. It is usually one day on site, depending on the route and the group. And you are there as a pair of hands, not as a guest.
The school in Sotang
Shree Jana Chetana Basic School in Dimbul-4, Sotang. Uniforms for the children, plus school supplies and hygiene items. The uniform says "Enrich your Life" and, in Nepali, "a gift with love".
We support the school continuously, not just once.
Power and light for the families
Six houses in Dimbul now have power and light. For the first time there is light in the evening once the sun is gone.
The girl in the photograph is holding the switches in her hand. Before that there was no wall for them.
For both projects, people walked through the mountains for two days and carried the material up on their backs. There is no road up there. There are only people who walk.
The joy, the gratitude and the appreciation you meet there are hard to describe. That is exactly the point.
Ten percent of your place stays in Nepal, in the project. No small print, no administration fee. Everything arrives directly.
Fifteen days to find out what stays.
1. What differentiates the "Quest to Purpose" trek from other trekking experiences?
I put this route together with Dawa for exactly this group. Dawa is a mountain guide from Solu Khumbu and a close friend. You cannot book this route anywhere else. We are no more than twelve people, and personal coaching is part of it alongside the trekking. Ten percent of the price goes directly to Sotang: to the school we have supported since 2022, and to the electricity projects in the village.
2. I've never been trekking before. Do you think this trip would be suitable for beginners?
Yes. It helps if you do something for your fitness beforehand. But the journey is not a performance test. The way inward counts as much as the distance. And on hard days the group and our team on site carry you.
3. What kind of coaching and support will I receive before, during, and after the trek?
Before the journey we have one hour 1:1 to prepare. On the way I am there every day, one to one and in the group. After the journey there is another hour 1:1, so that what you experienced arrives in your everyday life and does not stay in the photo album.
4. How are the service projects incorporated into the journey?
Ten percent of the price goes directly to Sotang: to the school we have supported since 2022, and to the electricity projects in the village. This is not an add-on. The route passes the projects, and what you see there is real and not dressed up for visitors.
5. What should I pack?
Besides your gear: a journal and the curiosity to explore the world outside and inside you. You receive the detailed packing list in good time before the journey. And this much in advance: some of what you carry around does not fit into any backpack. It can stay behind on the way.
