About me

I stopped
giving answers.

For more than twenty-five years I was good at it. I learned models, passed models on and explained to people how things work.

And I saw how little of it survives the moment that actually counts. What is left are the questions people never ask themselves. That is what I work with today.

How I work

I ask questions and I sit with the silence.

When you have answered, I do not say anything straight away. That is uncomfortable, and it is the point at which most conversations become honest for the first time.

I will not hand you steps that worked for someone else. I give you a framework in which you make your own decision - and I stay with it until that decision stands.

I listen closely and ask questions that move something. Alongside that, tools that fit you - not the other way round.

  • I work with a maximum of six people at a time. Any more than that and the depth goes.
  • I tell you honestly if I am not the right person for you. It has happened.
  • Everything you tell me stays between us. No exceptions and no expiry date.
  • I work in German and in English, mostly online by video, in person on the retreats and, on request, on site.
What I bring

Experience, not theory.

For over 25 years I have been sitting with people who want to develop, one to one and in groups, in mid-sized companies and in international corporations. I am trained as a coach to ICF standards (PCC) and certified for the Leadership Circle Profile.

25+ years

with people who carry a lot of responsibility.

1,000+

coaching hours, one to one.

500+

workshops with groups, worldwide.

100+

in-depth feedback conversations on the Leadership Circle Profile, a questionnaire on how you come across to others.

Standing in front of groups is one part. The other is what happens afterwards, when someone stays behind and asks the question they would not have asked out loud in the room. That second part is why I do this.

Away from work

What I care about.

I know just functioning from my own life. From the outside everything looked fine, on the inside I had almost disappeared. How I found my way back into my own life is what I wrote about in my book “Wie geht’s? Alles gut. Eigentlich.” (How are you? Fine. Actually.).

I do this work with real passion. Because I see it again and again: a person who comes back to themselves also makes the world around them a little better every day.

I am a father, a son, a partner - and a referee. The last one sounds like a hobby and is the hardest school for staying calm under pressure that I know: people running on emotion, pressure from outside, decisions made in seconds, and nobody you can ask for advice in that moment. Much of what I know about people under pressure I learned there, and not in a seminar.

The rest of the time you will find me outdoors and moving. In the mountains, by the sea or under it.

So you know what you are getting into

What I do not do.

I do not judge

Not your situation, not what you bring and not your opinions. With me you do not have to rehearse anything before you say it.

I do not give advice

I help you find your own answers and your own way. What worked for me is no use to you.

I do not build dependency

Every piece of work we do has a beginning and an end. If you come back afterwards, I am glad. But it is not designed for that.

Curious?

If you are looking for that conversation, I would be glad to meet you. Thirty minutes, free of charge, no payment details - and you decide afterwards whether we keep talking.
