Are you still functioning,
or are you actually living?
You deliver. The calendar is full. And at some point between two meetings you realised that you are working your way through your life like a to-do list, not living it.
You do not have to give up anything you have built.
Hello, I am Thorsten.
You have achieved a lot. And still there is that quiet thought that more would be possible.
More clarity. More of yourself. More that feels like your life rather than your task list.
Perhaps something in your life is asking for a change. Or perhaps it is about how you lead, and what you move in the people around you.
If you find yourself in both, that is not a contradiction. Start where it presses hardest right now.
Two ways we can work together
Is this about you?
Your life works. And you are tired all the same. Not ill, not in crisis. Just not quite yourself, and not for a short time either.
You may recognise this:
- You are available to everyone. Least of all to yourself.
- On holiday it gets better. Three days back in the office and it is there again.
- You have known the answer for months. You have simply never said it out loud to anyone.
We do not start with goals. We start with what you have long stopped saying to yourself. What follows from that is your decision. I stay with it until it stands.
Or about your role?
You lead. And you answer faster than you ask. At some point your people stop thinking out loud and only come to hear what you want.
You may recognise this:
- Your meetings run smoothly. Not everything gets said all the same.
- There is one conversation you have been postponing for weeks. You know exactly which one.
- You have become very good at solving. That is exactly what is holding you back now.
We work on the forty seconds in which you would normally have answered already. Not on a model, but on the conversation you are currently avoiding.
Your place to breathe
Twice a year I take a small group out of everyday life. Once for three days in the Black Forest, once for fifteen days in Nepal. Both times it is about the same thing: time in which nobody wants anything from you.
Aus.Zeit
Three days in which nothing is asked of you. No appointment, no list, no one who needs something from you. Just you and the time that usually belongs to everyone else. Here you are allowed to simply be, with no reason and no result. Friday to Sunday, two nights, your own room, everything included.
Quest to Purpose
This is not about altitude, and you do not need to be a mountaineer. Fifteen days in Nepal, away from the tourist routes, with host families, two nights in a monastery, and a local project where you lend a hand. Enough time to look at what you have been carrying through your life and to decide what you actually want to carry back. You walk lighter afterwards, and you leave something behind.
Over twenty years in industry, delivering quarter after quarter. Until I realised I was planning my day like a project and my life not at all.
I am here for you, if you would like that.
I do not promise an outcome. I give you a framework in which you make your own decision.
My passion is about people.
Thorsten Enderlin
I once sat exactly where you may be sitting now. From the outside everything was working. The calendar was full, the numbers were right, and nobody would have guessed that something was missing.
And then I would sit in the car outside my own front door in the evening and not want to get out for one more minute. For a long time I thought that was tiredness. It was something else. I had adapted for so long that I no longer knew which part of what I do was actually mine.
So the feeling you may have right now is not something I know from a book. I know what it is like to function in the morning and be empty by the evening. And I know what it is like when that changes.
What defines me: I do not talk around things. I will not hand you a method or steps that worked for someone else. I ask the questions you have stopped asking yourself, and I hold the silence that follows.
One thing I will say at the start: only you can change this. Not me. But I will walk that road with you, and gladly. Most gladly when you still doubt whether you can walk it at all.
Start today, on your own.

The podcast
The title is the question I failed to ask myself for far too long. Every fortnight, sometimes alone, sometimes with guests who have something to say and nothing to sell. Every episode asks a question and does not answer it for you.

The YouTube channel
Here you will find content that inspires you and supports you on your way. Uncomfortable questions, asked briefly. No social media, no trends, nothing that is out of date in a year.

Spiel dich glücklich
I built a game. For you. A few minutes a day, small tasks that turn into a habit over time. That brings you more energy, more kindness towards yourself, more connection with yourself, and less putting things off.
Not my words.
I can wholeheartedly recommend Thorsten. He fully embodies, to my mind, what a great coach is.
It was not always easy - and that was exactly as it should be. Thorsten challenges you. […] Today I feel considerably clearer, more aware and more myself.
I thought I needed a new strategy, a new tool, a new goal. What I needed was one honest question.
I started on a Sunday, without much expectation. On the Friday I resigned. Not out of anger, out of clarity. That is the difference.
I am not someone who believes in this sort of thing. But this is not a matter of belief. It is a mirror with a pen.
I learned more about myself in a week than in twelve months of coaching, because I finally answered for myself.
You may not see it yet. But the moments that will define your life are still ahead of you.
And however heavy it feels right now: life is not happening to you. It is happening for you.
Thirty minutes,
you invest in yourself.
We look at where you actually are. Afterwards you will know what your next step is. Even if I am not part of it.
